Our entire dental team is trained and goes out of their way to create the best healthcare experience in North Texas. We hope you notice.
Dr. Wong originally worked as an engineer after earning her degree in Chemical Engineering. However, she was inspired to change career paths after volunteering in healthcare settings. She took the Dental Admission Test and scored in the 99th percentile. Shortly after, she attended dental school at the Baylor College of Dentistry. Now, she has more than a decade of experience helping patients of all ages achieve healthier, happier smiles!
Dr. Wong loves dentistry so much that she dedicates her life to it both inside and outside of our dental office! To start, she prioritizes continuing education with notable organizations, including the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association. She also spends time lecturing at Hong Kong University on the topic of general and cosmetic dentistry. And, perhaps most importantly, she volunteers with the Texas Mission of Mercy, St. Vincent de Paul Society’s “Access to Care” program, Capital Area Dental Foundation, and St. David’s Foundation.
In addition to Dr. Wong’s undeniable commitment to pursuing continuing education and giving back to her community, it’s also important to note her compassionate and genuinely caring nature. Seeing a patient’s self-confidence flourish following their treatment is one of the most rewarding aspects of her job!
Dr. Caballero has nearly three full decades of experience in the world of dentistry! She knew from a young age she wanted to be a dentist so she could make a positive, lasting impact on people’s lives. Plus, it allows her to dedicate plenty of time to both her patients and her family.
Like Dr. Wong, Dr. Caballero completed her studies at the Baylor College of Dentistry. Over the years, she has undergone additional training in everything from prosthodontics and Invisalign to oral surgery and occlusion techniques at the world-renowned Dawson Academy. She has owned multiple dental offices herself, and she is now proud to be using her extensive education and training to serve individuals and families at Avenue Dental.
When asked about her favorite aspect of her job, Dr. Caballero shared that it’s improving people’s lives one smile at a time. Arming them with proper oral healthcare helps enhance the look and function of their smiles for decades to come!
Dr Wong and her assistants are the most wonderful caring people. AND she's a fantastic dentist too. I recommend her to all my friends. I cannot recommend her enough. She healed years of dental trauma just being her. Plus, being gentle and considerate to my mouth. You want to come here, seriously, they're fantastic.

If you have dental insurance benefits through your job or independently, we invite you to use them here with us. We welcome your insurance and will file claims on your behalf to help you save on your out-of-pocket costs. With us, dental insurance can seem much simpler and easier to understand when you have a knowledgeable team on your side.
Not everyone has great dental insurance, and that’s okay! At Avenue Dental, we have an in-house plan for every member of the family. With plans starting as low as $27 per month, we can provide essential preventive care that’s usually covered by dental insurance without all the headaches that come with insurance. Plus, our plans include valuable discounts, such as 50 percent off dental sealants and 20 percent off restorations and implants.
Even when it comes to paying for treatment—with or without insurance benefits—we want to take the stress out of your experience. We understand that not everyone can handle the entire cost upfront. As a result, we gladly accept payment through CareCredit. This company is a widely trusted financier in the dental and medical fields and may offer you low-interest financing, which breaks down the overall total into smaller monthly payments that are easier to manage.

If you would prefer to be treated by a female dentist, then you’ll be happy to hear that roughly one-third of all dentists in the US fit that demographic. Plus, over 50% of dental school students are female as well! Of course, if you are looking for a female dentist in your area, one of the best things to do is search Google. You can also ask friends, family, and colleagues for their recommendations.
At Avenue Dental, we have not one, but two talented female dentists! Dr. Wong and Dr. Cabello are both highly trained and compassionate smile enthusiasts who would be thrilled to help you achieve the healthy, happy smile you deserve.
If you think that dentistry is expensive, then you probably haven’t heard about all of the ways we help our patients save. To begin, we welcome dental insurance from many popular providers, including Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Guardian, MetLife, and many others. Don’t have dental insurance? Luckily, we have two other options: an in-house dental plan and flexible financing.
Remember, dentistry is all about prevention. Skipping your biannual visits or forgoing essential restorative care in an attempt to save money won’t work out in the long-term. The best way to make caring for your smile affordable is by prioritizing preventive care while avoiding unhealthy dental habits, like smoking.
That depends. For example, if you have dental insurance or joined our in-house plan, then your routine visits are covered. However, the average out-of-pocket cost is anywhere from $200 to $350. While this may sound like a lot, it’s important to remember that this includes a professional cleaning, an oral cancer screening, and much, much more. These visits are an essential part of any solid oral hygiene regimen, so don’t go more than six months without getting one!
According to Google, there are about 3,444 people in West Lake Hills. Since the average is one dentist for every 2,000 people, there are likely only one or two in the area. Don’t worry – our team is proud to welcome patients from all over Austin. Plus, we’re less than a 10-minute drive away!
